Great people share like minds. I like this saying and I hope it is the absolute truth.
Recently in America, residents of some states woke up to find that their favourite Google page had been 'defaced'. They looked on their screens, and the customary 'Google' was not there but an unfamiliar word replaced it. Topeka. What the heck is Topeka? Where is Google? Was this a hacker's job? They asked.
Of course, it was not a hack, not an April Fool's joke. Topeka was simply the name of a new super speed internet service that Google is promoting. Where else to better promote it than on Google's own front page?
Topeka has always been known to me, and for a long time, let's say about ten years. I suspect I have known Topeka longer than Google had planned their own internet service. You see, my daughter's name is Rebecca. However, her grandmother could not pronounce the name properly and for years she has been calling my daughter, yes, Topeka.
I think I just lost some intellectual property to Google. Oh my Topeka.
